Sen Akpan Ekong Samson
Born on September 18, 1967, in Akwa Ibom, Senator Akpan Ekiong Samson is a lawmaker currently serving his second term as a Senator representing Akwa Ibom Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly.
He graduated with distinction in Mass Communication from the Polytechnic, Calabar, in 1985 and was called to the Bar in 1991 after studying law at the former University of Cross River State. He is also a poet and Author, with published works such as "parliamentarialism in Nigera: An Odysssey in the Niger Delta" and "Las and Statement - The Legacy of Sir Udo Udoma".
Sen. Akpan has held several political position, including Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Council, Member of the State House of Assembly, Special Adviser, and Commissioner of Environment and Petroleum Resources in Akwa Ibom State. He is known for his commitment to public service and desire to impact society positively.
